yeah, so far the videos for the octatrack have been a little underwhelming. but they aren't really proper demos anyhow, just improvised noodling of sorts.

I'd imagine it would have swing that you can adjust and program which steps you want to swing like on the machinedrum. I'm curious too about the adjustable quantize, but I'd assume it's going to be like the other elektrons where it's essentially either 16 or 32.

also in response to elhuanas question earlier about the machinedrum UW, it looks like the new +drive function that can add a CF card reader and USB will increase the amount of samples you can store on the machine by a factor of 128. which would facilitate what you want to do i believe.

thats nice they made such an upgrade. It really makes the difference in comparison with those ~2mbs. However, when youve got not that much memory to use, you probably use it in a more wise and distinguished way... at least that's what they say in the suburbs.

ps. i guess the dots and exclamation marks are once again visible on the forums Thats some good news.

i saw that korg thing over at korgforums and i wasnt impressed at all... they are coming out with a microworkstation though that sounded kinda cool

but to me that lil box seems like yet another expensive toy korg has come out with... im not into it at all

I used to have a Korg TR Workstation, it was pretty cool, but after a while it gets pretty anoying finding yourself using the same sounds over and over, the sampler part of the workstations always suprised me, has the same sample edit screen as a MPC or MV would, im kinda intrested in seeing how this does.

only had time to skim through what tim posted, but can that thing sample? I didn't see any mention of it.

also they are releasing the ESX/EMX with SDHC support. which is cool, but not as cool as if they would have taken the time to actually update the design.

Little update to my lab, got a 303 back, this time with original box and manual. Only left output works at the moment, but that's not a big deal though.
