Mr.Acosta might not have the best rep on this board if you review some previous posts he has made. I believe it can all be resolved as a matter of miscommunication, but when you're in a perceived position of power you have to be impeccable with your word. Something I myself didn't quite grasp until recently. Plus it seems CPU is just a trickster in the name of fun.

I dont work for Roland on a full-time basis anymore and havent worked for them in over a year.

Im strictly a freelance sound design and product specialist now. I work with various companies in the music industry and still do some sound work for Roland but i have nothing to do with the sales or development of their products anymore.

The 404 , 404 sx , 555 all have pitch mfx which allow you to tune samples up and down and then re-sample. The only sampler that has true linear tuning per partial pad is the MV series and the sampler on the Fantom G and MC-808 & 909.

If your looking at just the Roland line of samplers.

the BOSS sp202 and the Roland sp808 make the "pitch tuning"...the BOSS sp505 has a sort of "pitch shifting scale" function (like the Roland vp9000)...

the other boss/roland SP series got only the pitch shifting fx as you said (but no tuning...)

The sp202, sp505 and sp808 are all discontinued, i was just giving him more current models that are a tad bit easier to come across. ( except mc909 )

If you notice in the post i said it makes a great add-on as a SAMPLING SOURCE.

Your " demographic " is a person that SAMPLES on hardware. Not sure about you but ill sample from any good source no matter where it comes from. So a specific plug-in tailored for kick drums & Percussion Hits would seem like a great sampling source for me to create original sounds for my SP not " snake oil ".

Sometimes you have to think outside the box. This is the Production Techniques section right ?

I didn't really look for too long, but it looks cool synth for shaping/generating drum hits so that's useful to people here. Plus we should all take a second to realize that this forum is cool because we help each other make music without the stress of day to day society.
