yo, for real Elhau i don't think a Machinedrum would be ideal for Primo style shit. Even with the on-board sampling, you'd still only have memory for drums. The MD is amazing, but a bit more techy than organic, if you get my meaning

there's videos coming real soon, check my website

I actually think that you could do some primo style sampling on the MDUW. you'd just have to treat it like any other 12-bit sampler, speed up your samples on the way in and then slow them down when played back, drums in mono etc. you could only store a few songs worth of samples at a time, just back it up and reload it whenever.

Yo, I'm thinking about getting an Elektron Octatrack when they drop on Wednesday. I would wait to see what it is when it drops before getting a machinedrum. Might be the illest new game changing sampler ever.

true, but for me it did reveal the most important thing, that whatever it is it deals with audio and not just synthesis. so that means sampler (or something similar), which is what i have been hoping for ever since i first started messing with my MD UW.

Elektron Octatrack

Elektron give http://www.gear4music.com an overview of the new Octatrack advanced sampling sequencer. It's essentially Ableton in a box...but Elektron have made it more amazing than we could possibly imagine.

videos arent really that impressive ( guys doin some crazy sound modulation ) but at least we can see how does the box look like

interesting
