Re: MP3 player...
not sure, but you can get some pretty decent hand held recorders for cheap these days with features like that, look at the new line of tascams. you looking to get one for sample storage whilst out and about??
im going away for some time next year, jus taking my sp and a handheld recorder full of breaks and music from the continent. 32gb gig sd cards!!

Re: MP3 player...
yea man theres no mp3 player that exists with a real time pitch control, unless u just run your mp3's through a 202/303, and than into your 606, or what u could do is get something like virtual dj free download and pitch your shit in there then export out which im sure it will do.

The Micro BR's mp3 player got timestretch to slow or speed up songs. I guess with an SP's pitch shift effect you can make it happen.

I think Tascam's mp3 Trainers got pitch and timestretch options. I don't know since the specs are kinda vague.

Yes, it does have pitch and timestretch option. Pitch ranging from -50% to +16.Ill Green wrote:I think Tascam's mp3 Trainers got pitch and timestretch options. I don't know since the specs are kinda vague.

Re: MP3 player...
Oh shit just realized my samsung K3 mp3 player has 7 different play speeds. It can get pretty fast and pretty slow as well. I don't know why I thought it only played at one faster speed.

Re: MP3 player...
This is what you need for the ipod....
http://www.rockbox.org/
It's a new operating system based on linux. It can pitch mp3s along with many other cool features. Check it out if you own an older ipod. It's MUCH better than what originally came with it.
(It also works with other brands of mp3 players so check and see if yours is on the list)
