Congrats ella on that gig!!! I don't speak french but "my head feels like a plastic bag" chorus had me laughing!!!

My only advice is this:

Drums over samples and rapper over beat.

Meaning the drums should be a bit louder than the samples and the rapper should be a bit louder than the beat. The rapper is the main attraction so don't bury his vocals within the beat or same volume as the beat. Just a notch or two above the rest. Dig?

thanx men!
i appreciate guyz!

and thanx for the advice too:
very clear and direct
i would like to try however something different, something without beat, only mental almost absent beat, vocals on first plan naturally (vocals? i'm still reasoning like an old indie rocker ahaha, it's not my fault guys, i'm coming from that world, that's my origins ahah, ok instead of vocals i will try to see that like a "rap"...you see? it's my first rap collabo...)..
but..
ok, i'll see what to do...

it'll be interesting to see how you attempt to get away from 'the beat'

maybe something like Dalek? He uses interesting layers of sounds to almost "replace" the standard drum beat...

Dälek / Faust - T-Electronique

I dig what RJD2 is doing currently...

Let There Be Horns - RJD2 (lala popup player)

Jay Electronica kinda downplays the beat as well at least here on Exhibit C

Hmmm...everytime when you finish a beat, keep the ROLAND folder of your CF card saved somewhere on your computer; you never know when an MC will want to use said beat, and if he wants something a bit changed.
Also remember what samples you use, of course
I can't think of much else at the moment, I haven't collabed with that many rappers yet

Thats a slick idea, the beat will be in your mind. Haha!

Yep yep, thats how you do it, keep it to the roots where you came from and evolve with something insane. Or revolutionize.
