The concept is identical to the SP-series - keep it simple, enable user to resample easily with lots of DJ-style effects, focus on the important things.

I want one.

Also would like to mention this because I think a lot of people over look this, but there is an "unofficial" editing software for your computer. You can import and export wav files, listen to your sequences and even edit the parameters of your sounds! You are also able to import/export midi data as well :)

the st224 is more near the mpc thasn the sp series.
the load/save thing is almost the same mpc concept.
you can resample also patterns and songs with it (this is near to sp555 loop capture indeed)
you can sample while listening patterns/songs.
one effect at time.
only 60sec for every card space (this is one limit of the st224)
only 8 patterns every 60sec card space
only 8 songs
but
IT GOT THE FUCKIN' REAL PITCHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! :D
(and a nice pitch scale function too)
