It's not pretty to look at though.

No for real thanks for sharing. I can't wait to hear what you can do with it.

Hmm...real pitch you say?

Real pitch is definitely nice, but what caught my attention even stronger was those 2 sampling modes - "auto next" and "key gate" modes...

guys, believe me, it's what you all have been waiting for :D

just check this video from 4:55 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5k8YP-0 ... re=related

for me, it's taking the sampling to absolutely next level when it comes to workflow - but maybe it's just me

plus it got the midi-out ( ~mp sequencers, sound modules)
haha I think I got really fired up for buying this

It seems that I missed this function when I checked microsampler videos last time, but LB made me check it for the second time - THANKS FOR THAT.
Im waiting for some used one to show up on an auction now :)

I've been kinda on and off about this sampler, when i first heard about it i wasnt to sure what to think, ive owned the ASR-10 and Korg Triton and ive done sampling on both, when it comes to keyboard samplers theyre cool for laying out your sample across the keys pitch wise. Im not sure if i would switch to a Korg sampler, although korg has made some decent samplers in the past, nothing can beat the SP though, who knows if i happen to sell my MPC2000 maybe i'll give the microsampler a shot, who knows.

I would love to get one of these used for like 3 bills. Played one in the music store and it was kind of painful to use, need to read the fucking manual for sure. It has lots of potential though, just wish they would have went the extra mile and gave it a real sequencer. I read somewhere you can only play one layer of a transposed sample???
edit, I guess you can resample loops, so you could get around the keyboard mode limitations.

I missed that auction Wax :D

anyway, I visited my local music store today, and spent some time with this microsampler. It was not easy to navigate on it, but I think it's a matter of time to get used to it.

I really love those sampling modes though, what can you say about them Beatjitzu? You use them?
And can you copy patterns there?

Even if it had RCA inputs, you still couldn't directly sample from a turntable. It has no phono preamp. That said, I don't know of any sampler which does have one. You ALWAYS have to put a phono preamp inbetween.

The MV doesn't need a pre-amp... I think a bunch of the higher-end MPCs don't need one either. But yeah, having to buy an extra set of cables is sort of odd.
