there's many things that can be wrong here

to get pK to control 606
- make sure both are on the same MIDI channel
- pK sometimes won't transmit MIDI Out if it's USB powered, best to buy a wall adaptor

Waz up man.. I rock tha PK like mad :P

1 how can i connect my padkontrol to the sp and control its sounds

My Sp606 is coming.. But I have mine hooked up to my command station, and battery 3, also sonar 6.. If using a PC connect the PK to the PC in the USB and then connect the Sp606 thru USB to your PC (the PC will be the center brain) Select the correct midi I/o on the PK ( which its USB so it will be Port A or B).. Use the note numbers to match the sp606 and then you can save it as a scene set or data whichever you choose..

2 how can i connect so i can control cubase and other software via midi

Thru USB.. You will just have to use the midi devices in the options/top of the menu and just select PK.. Don't forget PK comes with alot of templates for various VSTs, drum programs and such..

I use the PK for my battery 3 (drums and bass sometimes, mostly drums)
then I also have the Emu Xboard 61 that I use for my synths and Emu Command Station pure control baby.. all I do is save a template in my Korg editor and a template in Sonar 6 so everytime I load up I got everything where I want it.. I might every now and then have to call up the Midi devices and switch things around ( I mainly do this when I mix with my Behringers BCF2000 (2) because I use that as a Mackie emulation)
