effects on Mic but not on Pads...

Is this even possible? Put an effects on a live Mic input and bypass the pads that maybe playing?

the effect is only applied to one pad at a time so maybe if you had a extra pad you werent using, just a quik little hit or something you could press that pad, turn on your effect, then all of your pads you played would not be effected.(except the extra one your not using anyway). im drunk but hope this makes sense?!

is it the same as on the 404?

if it is, just hold down 'remain'
then select which pads you want the effect to go thru (1, 2, 6, 'ext in', etc)
