yeah yea.... i know. .i could get a casio but, I only need a few hundred $$.. gonna grab a xiosynth 25 or anythin cheaper that comes by (sh32, an200, dx200, etc).. spending cash on a casio seems like it would be a waste.. but I guess in terms of productivity youre right hehe...

My phone does internets and email and msn now, so yeah once I move out (as soon as I get said synth and saved up money for bonds) i wont even be bothering to get internet connection..

this year is a year of making shit happen :)

haha, we're in a similar space

i'm moving out tomorrow, got an iPhone for interwebz so won't be taking my PC with me. will have to find another way to record tho, but just having the PC out will allow longer jamming, greater intent to write tunes when i get home etc

i got the DX200, it's an amazing box...
are you after a synth for melodies/etc played by MIDI or as a soundsource for sampling into SP/Tribes and arranging from there?

not to hi-jack the thread, but cartesia - i have an SH-32 if you wanna PM me for deets about how i like it. some other synth ish too, if you need pro's / con's.

i'm a VERY limited keyboard player, which could probably help!

Man, it happens to me all the time nowadays.

I keep telling myself if I had a fantom this and mv that it wouldn't happen, but that's just me making excuses to buy expensive shit.

Take a nap, smoke a joint and eat a meal, usually helps me get back in the zone haha

smoke some broth. throw on a record that you know is dope and get in to it. make some shit you wouldn't otherwise make. then move on and start something else.

I think the key is to just make shit through the slump.
I have nearly 800 floppies all with 1 beat on them. some are so awful but maybe one day I'll rework them or start to like them.
or I'll never listen to them again.
some just have drums on them or a piano or some synth samples I found.

sometimes when I'm in a slump I revisit my prior slump works.
