juxt where'd you pull those drums from? can we add our own drums? I ended up making all of my sounds from the given sample, but if we don't have to I'll be happy as hell about the next battle

somewhere in the sample i forget exactly where i got the drums. Its all about the fx.

 using any sounds other than the sample provided is strictly prohibited in time of battle

if it is discovered that you are using sounds other than the sample provided you will be automatically disqualified. You may also be issued
a military punitive discharge, or other administrative or disciplinary action.

So true. the crappy, metallic sounding reverb is your best friend when making snares.

word up, that's a good tip with the reverb...what about sequencing outside of the 404?

it's pretty cool how you can use all the effects to make any sound really, good ish

what do effects do yall use for kicks? I used EQ but I didn't really come up with a kick, just another bass really

i completely skipped making a kit for this one. but i did eq the main hook quite a bit to bring out some frequencies.

i also found throwing mono stuff against the stereo stuff really punched it thru.

word that metallic sounding reverb can make or break your sounds. If you OD its gonna sound like crap - if you use it in moderation then it adds a nice grime to it.

For kicks I'll get a nice low sine wave from the sub sonic fx then play it rapidly. When the sines cut each other out they produce a nice thump, Chop that thump out of it then eq to taste. A little reverb and maybe some overdrive and your bangin.

I couldnt get a bass happening - great stuff from everybody else.

I had to set up a page - hopefully it will be "cleared" by the deadline.
