multisampling???

multisampling???

i think thats wat this is called. . .i want to ba able to sample a sound and spread it across my midi keyboard at the correct pitches according to the keys. i dont kno if this is possible with the equiptment i have: the sp404, m-audio keyrig, and ive been using garageband as my DAW recently. . .any help??

I usually don't need more than a few different notes so I just resample with the pitch effect onto as many pads as I need. Added bonus is that with the pitch knob it's not exactly chromatic so I get some added variation there.

dunno about keyrig, but the rest.. nope.

if you get different software you can do it, then just render out multiple pitches to load in the 404
Samples.
