Re: French Sample + MPC
this joint has like a gutter almost late 90's NY sound to it on that first sequence but its also mad spacey at the same time as it goes on, pretty dope joint
and on the topic of simplicity, yes, simple can be really good...especially if you are making beats for the purpose of rapping, I think sometimes cats get caught up in the beat tape style with a bunch of switches and effects when in reality most emcees want a dope rhythm and vibe to rock with it and all that shit can throw off the flow of a track, imo of course...the SP with all of its awesome efx and features can lead to beats that aren't very useful for rapping

^Cosign that...sp to me is like freestyle and can be mad creative takin beats to different realms...where as the mpc, imo, is a more disicplined and rigid forcing me to think about rappers because it doesnt play around as much..leaving room for rappinSinapse wrote: the SP with all of its awesome efx and features can lead to beats that aren't very useful for rapping
Dont know if that makes sense..

It seems to me like simplicity is perfection.. but.. my mind is always so cluttered (and my desk)
