Sampling issue

Post by Sinapse »

Okay with audio in, using the Line In setting and all that, I can see the bars moving indicating that audio input is coming into the 606. However, I can't hear the audio. I can sample it to a pad, but the sound is blank, not surprisingly since I could never actually hear the input, even though I can visually confirm signal coming into the 606. I started off prechopping on my computer and importing via USB and never even noticed it until recently when i got my 303 and began recording and chopping with it and went to try it on my 606

I am fairly certain that this isn't a silly problem. There is either something tricky with the settings I don't know about or my 606 has a very specific defect despite functioning well otherwise.

Thanks In Advance.

Did you try connecting headphones to the 606 to see if the sample is in there? Can the preset samples be heard?

If you can see the signal on the 606, then it should be fine, but you have to hit Sample again in order for it to record. You might be seeing the signal but that doesn't mean its recording, the blue light will stay lit when its sampling and blinks when its in ready mode.
