stupid question, but how exactly do i go about sampling from my sega or nes?

emulators on your pc? and a something that records sound on your pc? like audacity.

You could use the headphone output of your TV and connect that to your sampler or computer.

As for this project I like it but can't promise anything coz I'm the guy who gets nothing done - maybe because I've played far too much video games.

You can go audio out(red and white) from whatever system your using! usually you can pull the audio apart from the video and then plug into the in on your sp.

That's a nice feature. I have a home-made audio-cable for the commodore 64 and we use that output on our live set with my band but the tv in between can give the sound a nice touch.
