sp 808 problem

Hi

I'm new to the 808 ( had a 303 before) and i have following problem:

i sampled some drumsounds and set all pads to "drum".
But sometimes it starts looping the sounds (but not to the lenght of the sample) and only the last 4 pads a played.

any idea what i did wrong?

That's weird. I've never had that happen. Sounds like a disk issue. Have u tried sampling a bunch of long phrases, and setting those to drum. See how much of the sample gets played, since u said you used drum sounds. Drumsounds are pretty short anyways so try something longer. Do u get the drive too busy message.

when i use longer samples, it wont play the whole sample. it only plays 2 sek although i changed the bpm of the song to 20 or 500, wont change anything.
And it also does that, if i set the pad to trigger with loop off.
