AND they fucking wrapped it in a piece of paper even though they assured me it would be well packaged.. and the metal faceplate is fucking bent over down the bottom near where the CF card goes in.

One good piece of knowledge has come from this : the original 404 now gets made in the 404SX style case, a bit flatter and thinner, and has the stubbier less-likely-to-break knobs

On the topic of this thread... Jeez... I think i might just settle for the 404 OG. . its gunna be like 2 weeks till i get a replacement once iget the money to send it back and shit.. cant wait that long!

I still technically got it for a steal 1t AU$390 new, free shipping. (US 370ish i think)

And I really dont think I need any of the new features... 404 OG sounded pretty good to me with its compressed sound.. 1 gig is huge for me.. . meh
Now that my anger is faded it seems fine really.. I even still get the sweet new slimmer body with lower knobs n such.. which was a big point for me on the 404SX cos it sits in backpacks way easier.
