im new to using midi. i want to control samples from the SP...with a midi footbard controller...can i do this with the Rolls MP128 Midi Buddy? any help?

In the manual of your device it's written that this mp128 sends only "standard midi program changes to select patches on a midi keyboard".
As far as I know, to control samples in 404 or any other device with midi in, you need your controller to send "Note On" messages, which triggers the samples.
