Shuffle Shuffle Shuffle...someone make me a video please! :)

As the title says... I would love to see a video of this new 'shuffled' quantize on the SP-404sx.

I would really like to know if that shuffle quantize will give more swing to a beat. I am thinking it will, because most shuffle quantizing on my MV will do so, but I am sort of feeling I am missing out on this with my older SP-404.

It's one of the few things that might make me consider buying an SP-404sx too (and sell my older model SP-404).

I'm still in the phase of getting used to this sometimes rugged input quantize though. I am spoiled with the MV8800 in which you can specify strength of quantize and change the quantize lateron as it's non-destructive and all that. :p

Just you wait. On Friday I'm at home again and will be pleased to quickly make something up for you. Maybe with a housey rhythm or even electro, where shuffle becomes really obvious. No video though, just sound.

Also, the reason why I'm interested in video is, because I then can see the difference between what the user played and how the SP turned it into a shuffle. Either way, I expect the shuffle quantize to be seriously important to get a good groove / swing going. House will be fine.

Dope! Yeah, I think I should just go to a store and grab one myself too, or at least try it out to see if the differences are worth it. But I'm digging the few performance related improvements a lot and copying is much less of a hassle, added shuffle quantize is likely to be a buying incentive for me.

Anyways, hope to see/hear some of those audio examples.

I hope this demonstrates the shuffle quantisation well enough - and it works just like on other machines, except being destructively applied during recording. Shuffle intensity was set to 66.

Can you adjust the strength of the normal quantize as well then?
