Recording with the SP-303
I have a TASCAM MIDI box with "guitar" ins, outs, mic ins, and midi ins....i feel like the quality of the SP's contents will be shitty once i put it and record it thru ableton. do u think i would need a better preamp? man....another god dang investment that means.....

Re: Recording with the SP-303
What exactly do you mean by "TASCAM MIDI box"? MIDI inputs are not audio inputs.. Is this a TASCAM interface with MIDI ports on it as well as audio ports? What's the model number?
Re: Recording with the SP-303
Yeah it's the tascam US -122.
Re: Recording with the SP-303
That interface is fine and will give you good quality recordings. Worry about the beats, that's the most important part.
Re: Recording with the SP-303
Which in should I use? I have a bunch of converters. Mic in or "guitar" in?
Re: Recording with the SP-303
Use the "line/guitar IN" L & R inputs. You'll need to get some of these adapters most likely.
