Hope I’m allowed to vote without taking part.
1 - beardface: A little short but a “full song”. I can see the idea and I like this one best.
2 - truthfullybored: Long enough... not to far from beardface idea!
3 - kel: Elegant but not completed?
4 - wax inspektor: interesting. You step in and out different "rooms".
5 - blindfold: Lively, with a nice intro.

So I vote for beardface.

Yeah, please go ahead and vote. 8)

As long as there won't pop up dodgy double accounts on the same day a poll comes up, we're not going to assume foul play, nor do you have to participate to be able to vote. We're still watching carefully though. ;)

Blindfold, you killed this track in my opinion.

Kel's entry also pretty much worth mentioning. Close 2nd.

My 2 favorites are Teewok and Kel.

I have to go for Teewok, but kel was very very close.

I wrote this in depth response to everyone and lost it all! Fug! Thanks to everyone who took part in this. Keep pushing each other to create. Much props to everyone.

My favorites are: Beardface, Teewok, Blindfold,Truthfullybored and Kel.

My Vote is for Teewok. That track is RAW! Nuff said.

You guys made this really hard! I like that the songs ranged in genre. You all have a lot of talent. Keep it going!

I voted for Kel's beat, amazing what you got out of that sample dude! I also enjoyed the works of Truthfullyboreds, Wax Inspectors and Teewoks a lot, great job y'all.

Yo, thanks for the vote elhuana! Didn't get one for half a year or longer *g* I'm glad you like that stuff.

Gis_Sweden: I'm humbled, thank you! That's what I was going for- a song. Was thinking of repeating the structure for something like verses & choruses but it felt right to run through each part once only (that or I got lazy with the sequencing & recording).

Hey Blindfold, how's that for us using almost the same drum pattern? Just checked yours out then. Sick stuff!

Really dig Wax Inspector's effort with the triplet bass riff- smart move there. Really smart. I'm jealous. DJ Just Jeff gets props for doing something totally different too. Long live ambient!

But if it came to betting- Kel or Teewok have this battle & the tape.

Really interesting results everyone! Cheers to you all!

Yeah, I bought one secondhand a few days ago for cheap and simply couldn't resist.

I still have the MV as well and won't sell it for the world until Roland comes with a new MV. 8)

But I just wanted a portable sampler too so I can easily take a beatmachine to a friends house, jam for a bit recording vocals with the internal mic or even do a 30 minute live gig (recorded beats from MV go onto the SP-404 for example). Works great as an FX box for the MV as well, but for that I need to buy me some more cables so I can integrate it better in my work-flow.

(I sold the MC-808 I had though.)
