That depends on what SP you're using.

For SP-404 and the similar, there's an Edirol/Cakewalk audio interface that seems like an ideal match - rca inputs/outputs. If you don't have an audio interface already that is. It doesn't have MIDI though, so that could be a problem.

I don't know about the SP-606, but with the SP-555 you could record the patterns with the loop recorder, then load the files and arrange them in whatever software you're using or (I haven't tried this yet) you could send a start message on the software and then record the sequences (which seems like a better solution).

this is one area i think the 555 excels at. i plug in the usb connection then i set my input and output of the computer to the sp. the 555 works as a sound card for the computer. then you can record on to any program you might have. or sample any sound off the computer.

I have an Mbox2pro that I use to record into Ableton Live. I use Pro Tools 8 for mixing and Mastering other peoples stuff. Having a decent interface is key. If an 1/8 inch is all you got I'm not going to hate, but if an 1/8 inch in is all you got the next thing on your list of ish to get should be an interface in my opinion.
