i was having trouble with the sp404 sequencer but now im thinking i was just being lazy. . .i started making a lot of loops on it but couldnt get full beats. i decided to actually take the time to get a full instrumental, so basically u just have to listen through a shitload and del/add things that way rite? there is no way of rewinding or fastforwarding to the measure u want?

not really, it helps to use say 3 or 4 pattern slots, and switch between them manually to advance the song

correct, maybe if you want try and cut it into a bunch of different patterns that are only 1 or 2 bars each, instead of trying to do 4 and 8 bar loops, each has its perks and downfalls, gotta just stay on the box

me too... i wish you could skip over bars while recording a sequence... or start immediately at the beginning without having to wait for the beep, beep, beep when all you want to do is erase that pad hit at the very beginning. using 1 bar per pattern is a good idea if you're not planning on doing the flylo thing :)

i meant the pattern copy trick. cuz you can only do 1 at a time and it takes some waiting.

nah you can do a bunch at a time, so say you copy 3 different patterns you have once, so you have copies of all 3, then put them in the internal, delete the one back up and save a new one in its place with the 3 patterns and the copies of each of them, then you got 4 of each of the three patterns, you can definitely copy a bunch of things at once

Yup, it back ups and restores (or copies) an entire back.

If it wouldn't have this flylow trick, I would have bought the SP-404sx instead, because Pattern Copy for me is pretty essential if I want to keep the same flow going. :p
