I have this problem: I have 2 loops...that must play together. The thing is that one is at 138bpm and the other is at 145 bpm. Is that something I can do to play them at the same bpm?

Time/BPM (check the manual, page 32).

Try changing from 138 to 145 and from 145 to 138 and see which works better. Since it's a small 7 BPM difference, it might not sound too bad.

Don't forget to save your stuff before changing anything.

if you got a computer try and time stretch it in some software cause it might---it will sound better than on the 555. the 555 time stretches brutal even if you move the bpm up 2 notches. if you a software whiz then its no problem otherwise look into it if you think you'll be adjusting tempos a bunch.

So , the Sp looks like doesn't have to much ability in time strtching hmm? I wonder what was in their heads when they made a sampler with no capabilities, except apllying effects on... no editing , no nothing...

I love so much this machine but it looks like u can't do much editing on it on the samples... I may be wrong... Pleeeease correct me if so!

well if you look at the quote i quoted, you said you cant do much editing on the samples and i was just making sure you knew how to utilize the resample. "editing" is pretty limited on the sp. but there is alot you can do with the effects and resample.

naw man its a misunderstanding i was just saying in general, nothing to do with the loops.

edit: the only suggestion i would have is to do it manualy just as the pattern is changing to the next one with the diff tempo. you may find a spot in between the two patterns that you can just change the bpm during.?? thats how ive dun it.

Actually both loops must play at the same time man...so must be at the same bpm...

ahh i see. well if you can find a 202 for cheap that would def. help do what you need. you could throw your samples on the 202, match up the bpms and throw em back on the 555. it was already mentioned that you could just do that on a software also, but rockin 2 sps is a pretty nice combo.

i wasnt aware of a time stretch on the 555. do you mean changing the bpm? because if so the 202 time funtion is far superior to the 555 time/bpm.

sorry im new to most of these things. im guess there is a difference between a bpm editor and time strectch. the 555 can change the bpm but theres nothing caleld time stretch on it.
