for real, the ESX/EMX are what, 7 years old now....you'd think that they would as it seems like step sequencing and live programing is making a pretty big comeback...

I would kill for an updated ESX that was somewhere between the current model and the machinedrum UW with SDHC and a more compact build....

It's also popular because it's mad cheap to make and profitable because everyone will pay like ten times what it's worth. :p

I think the touch pad motion control itself is somewhat overrated, but I won't deny it's pretty damn cool. I did like the control the KP3 gave me for sure.

I do feel they've used the flaws of the original Kaossilator as an excuse to release another Kaoss Pad, instead of actually listening to the critics on the Kaossilator. I don't think people wanted it to become two or three times as expensive. ;)

I owned my kp3 for a month it was a let down for me.. Basic functions were ok as far as finger dragging and tapping and effect stuff but everything above that was confusing. The manual was a carrot top too (a joke a bad one at that)... I have liked my korg stuff just think the kaos stuff is too toyish and loose for my taste.. As a dj I totally see use and function but not for production.

I've had a kaossilator pro a little under a year now. It's what I've done all my production with (only adding FX in REAPER, otherwise recording everything "live"), and I admit, it is fairly limiting. However I've still made some decent tracks with it, at least I think so.

My next plan is to get an SP-404 though which I why I joined the forum. :)

Yeah, I think that's the main thing. It's somewhat limited, despite it's usage as FX box.

I like that Kaossilation Vol. 1 album by the way. That was made using the KP3?
