What would you call these tracks (genre wise)?

Post by Unfolding »

Hey there, I've been making tracks for some time & only really started showing them to others recently. Problem is, I have no idea how to describe them (other than REALLY BLOODY AWESOME YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS type hyperbole).

Not Big On Ceremony.mp3

Ganymede.mp3

Vault Walk (Hardware version).mp3

Films, Plays and Passtimes.mp3

Stop That.mp3

This! Intellect Is Too Cold RMX.mp3

There's a small pile of tracks of my tracks up at http://unfoldingmachines.bandcamp.com, these are just a few of those.

Okay, that's enough shameless self promotion for now. Apologies for the dodge layout of this post- this is my first one.

Cheers!

Not Big On Ceremony.mp3
One of my proudest moments & it's only 42 seconds long

Films, Plays and Passtimes.mp3
Heavy break with more DS10. Bliss-gloom anyone?
(1.97 MiB) Downloaded 263 times
Ganymede.mp3
This one's a little bliss-out jam made from field recordings (thanks to Matt B of these forums) & jammed over with the SP606 & other synths
(3.37 MiB) Downloaded 278 times
Vault Walk (Hardware version).mp3
One that I started 2 years ago & just updated so it could be done live. A straight up hip hop instrumental (I guess, correct me if I'm wrong or there's a better category).
(4.22 MiB) Downloaded 266 times
Stop That.mp3
A little weirdo track made from samples of post rock bands (plus one classic break) with DS10 synth jammed over it.
(3.35 MiB) Downloaded 258 times
This! Intellect Is Too Cold RMX.mp3
A track I did with Matt B. He played guitar, kaoss pad, programmed the drums & did the field recordings originally. I then chopped up the whole lot then added bass, melodica, effects, synth & voice samples.

Weapons: SP-606, 404SX, 404mk2
