elhuana - Introduction LP

Post by elhuana »

This LP is my first compilation of sample-based beats I made almost entirely* on a Roland SP-404 sampler recorded to one track, in a period from early 2008 till 2009 in Warsaw/Poland.

Just a simple, classic hip-hop LP with some experimental flavors added here and there.

*Tracks 2 & 15 were made with a SP-555 and tracks 5 & 8 were made with a SP-606. No additional hardware or software was used.

damn kid, worth the wait 8) i really like the version of game of inches that you included, without the pacino vocals. really lets the beat shine... (although an epic speech)

whooaa! Thanks for the good words brothers :D

as for the artwork - I didnt make it myself - beats is what I do better ;)
I will tell my homeboy, that you guys like it!

yo shmedy, the truth is that I've been putting already made beats together for last two days. Plus yesterday we did the artwork. I had a crazy and sudden idea of finishin it before 2010, and luckily it clicked :)

Blindfold, I started making beats for this album in the early 2008 I think, so yeah, it's been a long time :)

Now, when this lp is finished, I can finally focus on my next project which gonna be significantly different from most of the tracks from introduction lp

Once more - thanks for the responses!

I've been listening to it for a while now, and here's what I think...
I really liked that you pretty much did enough chopping of your samples, except maybe in the intro.
On the track Destroyed City, I think you could have made the track a lot doper without doing that much, because that sounds like an awesome sample.
I think you used a lot of the effects pretty well throughout your tape, especially reverb.
On some tracks I thought the drums didn't suit the sample, and they could've used a bit more variety.
I think my favorite track was Autumn is Coming, and Drunken Master was dope, too.

All in all I think you did a good job on that tape, and that remix in the end was pretty cool, too, but it could've used more swing :D

I'm looking forward to your next project!

I didn't check it all yet, but Drunken Master is ILL! The right emcee could really shine over that joint. But as an instrumental it holds it own. Im digging the chops alot.

This sounds dope. Is that DOOM on the bonus remix or Derty Hary?

So far I'm diggin' Space Cowboys, All Night Long, Destroyed Cities. Alot of strong samples on this.

Good Sh!t
