beat tape

if you like any thing the whole thing is available for download at http://www.mediafire.com/?ozwgmnzgfon

thanks :D :D :D :D :D

ohh yeah and the reason for all the movie/kung fu samples is really a lack of having an MC. i made these for a buddy of mine to check out if he wants to spit on em, but the samples are just to spruce it up a little. :?

Yeah, I like this a lot! Very raw and dope swing in the drums too!! Good job man. 8)

From what I hear, you've made good use of the MV's MFX as well!

A few Mv related production questions:

-Did you use the MV's mastering?
-What did you use to get the volume of all beats at the same or about the same level?

hey Phemox, thanks. i didnt use the mastering on none of this. i messed with it a little but i need to miss with it more to get it down.
so to keep things as evenly as possible i just try to record all my samples at about the same level,(loud as possible without disturbing the clip indicator) and i adjusted some levels using the sliders during the mixdown mode.
oh and i actually havent reallly touched on the the MV's MFX yet. i still love using the 555 for tweakin and stuff.

Very insightful stuff, thanks. I was under the impression this was MV-only, but that's alright. I like how it's been mixed properly though and I might grab me an SP-555 companion too. The MV does have good MFX, but as you will obviously know the 555 is a great addition.

The 10 minutes you released there was nice, almost had a Wu Tang vibe to it. Not sure if you're a member, but you should post this on the MVNation too man!

oh sorry i didnt mean to give that impression i was just saying that this was my first stuff i made with the MV. but yea im so used to the 555 i like to get some of my samples down to how i want em before i put em in the MV. but i also did alot of direct sampling to the MV from vinyl. 555 was just for tweaking a bass or a vocal sampling. all sequencing was in the MV. MV is a beast for chopping, i love having the visual with the audio to get my points just right.
well thanks man for checkin it. 8)

Felix, thanks for checkin. glad you liked em. yea you wont regret that purchase (at least i havent).

Kel, thanks for checkin also. hey that would be hella cool if you wanna rap on some of these. my homie from down here seems to have dug em and he is writing some shit right now and im working on a few more tracks to try to make it just a little longer. if you wanna get in on this that would be hella cool. im all interested in hearing your style now, got anything i can hear?

as far as a sp rap tape i think that that is also a good idea. cant say that id be able to rap but i could throw some beats in for my SPartners!

I'm digging the rap tape idea as well. Someone should organize that, who's up to it?
