Memory Card trouble!! Helpp Anyone??

Ok so i just got a 1gb flash card for my sp-404, i formatted it on the sp and went over the manual various times trying to figure out how to put samples in it from my mac. I believe the problem is im not sure which is the root folder i have to drop the samples into or if a root folder is even being made when i format the card on the sp..... so im a bit confused and would appreciate the help

The root folder is the top directory of your card. The samples should not be inside of the ROLAND folder.

top directory meaning the same area where the roland folder is at right??

when you open the card in finder, that is the root folder youre lookin at already.

ok thats where im dropping the samples in... but after when i try to import the samples into the sp the sp still says it's empty??

are they the right format and named correctly?

yeah man, they have to be 16 bit, 44100, stereo or mono and the name cant have any symbols in it except for the underscore (_). and then sometimes after i did all that it still didnt work for me.

also make sure you havent named them whatever.wav.wav

by default windows hides known filetype's extensions (eg .wav) so if you changed the name to whatever.wav, it might actually have been changed to whatever.wav.wav
