That's what I absolutely love about some old people. I remember I was making a beat once, and this old stranger starts nodding his head to the beat and mentions that the melody sounds a bit familiar.
Awesome :D

they love the beats, this old lady wanted some of my ish, thoguht it was catchy.

you know they just sat there smokin prescription greens diggin through the lp's and 45's.

with the lights, surely it's just a case of opening it up and replacing the LED's. The theory is easy but i've never seen the inside of an sp, is easy on a mpc.

Just a heads up... I'm sure your gramps knows whats up but just let him know the leds are all surface mount. It's beyond my skills but I know alot of people who don't have any trouble working with them. My hands just not steady enough with a soldering iron for that shit haha

maybe you can slap a layer of thin color plastic somewhere between the outside pad and the led on the circuit board. it would save having to rip to out the leds. i have never tryed this but it seems practical, however red mixed with other colors usually turns brown.

I bet 50bugs that you screw it! Ever seen those tiny LED's? Phuck these are the smallest I've seen so far... Keep in mind that you need to replace like 53 LED's... with an solder iron thats as big as a needle...
Pretty hardcore plan you got going on... I wouldn't risk it!

not if you're speaking of lights:
red and blue makes purple / red and green makes yellow / red and green and blue makes white

mixing paint --> subtractive mixing (red+green=brown)
mixing lights --> additiv mixing (red+green=yellow)

I would try a spotlight foil first and chop it up...
but I dunno how to get the foil into small buttons like DEL or the A-J BANKS... cause you can't lay down the foil under the pad-mat...

Last tip: Wear colored sunglasses!
