Sampled and chopped on the SP303 and sequenced on the MS-1.

Lyrics by yours truly.

Thanks fellas, I had fun making the beat. When I first heard that flute, it just hit me in the gut to flip a beat out of it. Funny thing about that record is that it was made in Brazil then imported to Holland and then imported to Puerto Rico and now in my house.

I will give feedback to you all, Thanks again.

sp303+ms1=dope couple!!
question:
is the ms1 sequencer a real one or, as akai remix16/s20 or yamaha su10, is just more or less a way to take notes of tracks? got it metronome/quantize?
thanx

Actually, the sequencer on the MS-1 is like a tape recorder, the way you banged out the beat, is gonna be the way its gonna be heard. No metronome nor quantize. Its a true school of hard knocks because it pushes you to perfect your timing, and if you mess up somewhere there no editing, you gotta do it again. But I'm crazy like that and prefer it that way because in the end its gonna feel natural because its not a chain of patterns, its YOU all the way  . For those 2 min. on SPIT SHINE, it took me an hour to get it like that but I had fun doing it though.

thanx for this review
so the ms1 sequencer is like the one on akai remix16, s20 or yamaha su10.
real hargd knock thing.

ps

i rediscovered some old 4 tracks tapes from 2000 when i was doing things on the remix16 sequencer, not bad at all...
