switching to the internal mic in Windows 7

I got Windows 7 for free from my university and I haven't encountered any problems at all except this one. I tried to turn on Audition and record some samples from a movie running in the media player but it won't record anything at all. Back in XP I could chose the input for the recording mic so that it would record any sounds being produced from inside my computer but I can't find that option now. My Windows 7 control panel looks like this:



That's just the Line-In and the peripheral mic that I don't use, no sign of the wav recording option. Anybody have a clue?

unfortunately its not a "guaranteed" type feature. i dont know if its possible with your soundc ard on windows 7 but i would say don't get your hopes up

Hm, damn. Thanks for the info. Well at least I still have WinXP on my PC to do that kind of stuff...

i dont know if this will help but can you set the output of your computer or programs your running? just a thought
