You can easily make it play 2 tone intervals ((chords consisting 2 notes))
!!!but you'll have to set and record each part one at the time... step record or live input... doesn't matter, for a clean perfect fifth here is my recipe:
1) set both sinth parts so they have the same sound and than...
record ...
2)let's say D1 note on part1\bar1
on the part2 record A1 note bar1... starting both at the same time and woila, you got a simple chord.
...not to mention what insanity comes out when you automate each part with different cutoff or delay.
You can even detune OSC2 pitch ofs on both parts and you got 4 tone chord... though this is quite hard but it is possible.

i would like to use the EA1 also to pick sounds without recording any patterns, just on the fly, so
i have questions still:
-if , for example, i play the EA1 with only fingers, can i make that chord you made?
in your example i listen that 1 key part was "moving" and the other one was always the same note...is there a way to play the same step of part 1 and 2 simultaneously with only fingers, and changing notes, just like playing piano/keyboard?

-if i play with midi keyboard can i assign to it the 2 key part of the EA1 simultaneously in order to make a 2 notes chord?

-if all this is not possible, can i however record a patten with those 2 key parts assining to them the same intrument(sound)?

You can't play 2 notes at the same time on one part...thats a fact... 2 parts and both monophonic; as mentioned before.

You can play 2 notes at the same time but with external MIDI keyboard. You just have to assign both parts to the keyboard's transmitting channel (same channel)... in this case you have to detune OSC2 pitch ofs to desired harmonic note on one part.
or (if you have that kind of midi keyboard) you can split keyboard and asign each split to match EA-1's parts.

That way is more easy to hear chord harmonyes.

You can make both parts to move and you get chord progression.
You can also make like 2 notes chords lasting one bar and than transpose on the fly- live directly on EA-1's keyboard.

No problem ellaguru...get it while you still can. I bought mine 2 years ago and the prices went up in two years for like 100 euros per unit (in europe)... Im observing for second unit or ER-1... the tribes have simple interfaces and cool sequencers... signal need just some preamp on console and will sit nice in the mix without fancy compressors. Yahoo group is alive 2...
sometimes you can get really nice deals there.
One might sound like he want to vaccinate you with
another toy... but it's not like that.

i notice that the EA1 got 2 mono outs...
can we use the headphone out to have a good stereo image?

-if only output 1 is connected you hear mix (part 1+2)
if you connect both you got each part on separate line.
I've never connected EA-1's headphone out to mixer.

Just get both of them without doubt, crumbsucker! I got the ER-1 and the EA-1 and they're a killer combo (like a cheap version of TR-808 and TB-303, but with their own personality ).
With both you have a sound and synthesis capabilities which cannot be found in, for instance, the EMX-1. Also, synchronizing them is dead easy and you can run the R's drums through the A's synth engine (which, if you do not find useful, is pretty fun in any case).

I'm 100% aware of that.

can you found good bass/subbass on the EA1? some dubtep/2step gritty wobble basses? or can you have tips'n'tricks to made them on the EA1?

You could make your own wobble basses by using the filters + motion sequencing. I think if the EA1 didn't have good deep bass sounds it would be a failure as a synth module. The best part about electribes is they are easy to bend to your will.
