Just wonderin what everyone in here has been listening to lately. It's kinda nice I can get a lil cooked up and listen to my ipod all day at work. Heres what ive been feelin lately

Esoteric "Serve or Suffer". One of the best beats albums Ive ever heard. Obscure samples along with lots of vocal samples, many from comic hero shit(kinda played out). But the overall is just dope as fuck. I stand by this one.

Felt 3 "a tribute to Rosie Perez"-Probably my favorite Felt album. This time with Aesop Rock on the beats, which to me makes all the difference. The lyrical content is average for Murs or Slug, but over those thumpin beats it would be hard for even Slug to sound wack.

Ras G., forgot the name.- I hate to say, but I was really surprised....At how shitty it was. No dis but...really?

The Gigantics- dudes from Old Dominion out of Seattle and Grayskull with alot of others like Aesop Rock, Murs, Quasimoto, Mr. Lif, Swollen Members, Pigeon John, Eligh......slick unique beats tight rhymes. Almost every song is tight.

Different dj mixes... good producers I hadn't heard much from before this week are Ghosts on Tape (weird dusty tropical house sort of stuff made on samplers) and Kowtown (dubby post-dubstep house). l heard on XLR8R last night a nice track by Tycho.

Others:
Thomas Fehlmann
Dam Funk
Hudson Mohawke
Panda Bear
Zomby
The Smiths
dub techno, minimal, dubstep, and house mixes.

I'm listening to lots of underground hip-hop.
Also, I picked up some abstract stuff by FlyLo, Hudson Mohawke, Samiyam and Dimlite.
I also picked up tons of jazz and soul CDs, I won't name any names, though :P

im looking at my ipod touch right now and im listening to:
FAt jon the ample soul physician-this dude is hot, straight beat producer, and hip hop artist, is in this group called five deez, but all his solo stuff is just beats, bunch of albums, like experimental hip hop but very lounge-jazzy

Oddisee- beatmaker and mc as well, samples like a mofo and you can hear it in the beats, very sample heavy. good mc as well but i really only listen to his instrumental stuff.

J dilla, donuts- best hip hop ish. i remember i heard one of the tracks off this album on a cartoon network bumper, the tracks called waves. i rushed and recorded the final bits of it cause those bumpers are like 15 secs long. i looped it and spit over it and everything. then i found out it was him and i was like "go figure".

mf doom- king geedorah ( thats on the ipod by popular demand from the mf doom sighting post. everyones like "king geedorah is the shit" so i threw it on there. i still dont like all the featuring artist but the album is very nice and unique. that track where the beats gets all fast is funny how they tried to switch with the beats tempo, creative.

last but not least
modill (racecar and dj kkruz) hot as shit. k kruz beats is hot, heavy on the samples for real, and racecars flows is fluid and very hip hop. its hard to find but i downloaded it from imesh at random and was very impressed. you guys gotta hear the beats. they are based in chicago i think.
thats all for me.

oh yeah, and Re-animator- beat producer, hot as hell too.

Is "The Dude" really a good album?
My store is selling it, but it's a bit expensive. Should I cop it?
