i loved the homies effects and drumssss as always culpritssssss, liked ormos too always a filthy sound but wunderkuts was so simple yet dope. i loved the feel to the track so ill.

korakios - another dope beat nice one!

ormo - nice beatdown halfway through, and i liked the end too

well done everyone, those samples were challenging, so everyone had to get creative. that's what happens when you have limited resources, you make do with what you have.

ormo - crazy drums(sound processing & patterns) 2nd part is nasty. sounds like your beat juggling.

korakios - i like the dark feel of this and how you flipped the drum rolls.

culprit - drums are illy, like the use of the looper/delay efx. totally off topic but do you ever hit up recordland in calgary?

eze - nice chord progressions.

finally got a chance to peep these in between dmv and work drama

my vote goes to korakios. alot of different parts going on simultaneously and it all fits perfectly, really interesting

close second was ormo cuz it reminds me of.... ormo's music, which reminds me of when i used to do whippets made me wanna rap in 3/4

inner sleeve and my dads old collection(still) are my sources. i try to use what i have im not a collector those samples would have been so much fun with more time.. looper live always

Most visual tracks (these would be perfect scores to a short film):
Oaxaca: I'd name this one 'sea sick'. Still feeling a bit nauseous from listening to it.
Ormo: Epic. Battle scene music. I could see a gladiator straight knocking someone out to this. Raw fisticuffs style.

Korakios: Like the D&B-esque breakdowns.

Dirtiness track:
Culprit: Love your style homie. Straight dirt. Like the use of the sample at the end.

Best groove/ flow/ smoothness/ etc...:
wundrkut: Like the underlying sample flip - keeps the track bumping.
biggibboybeatmasterb: Nice mellow chill out track. If battle 58 was a mixtape this would definitely be the outro.

Overall winner:
E.Simon: Nice groove under some really crispy, punchy drums. Nuff said.
