ahh man i saw the footage online a few times, but lastnight i hit up a doom show in l.a. well my experiences in the past which was b4 he reached icon level he would perform everytime, but now its rare if he'll show up. crazy thing is he'll still get booked.lol it was susposed to be a beat set. he had his hype man talkin the whole time he's playin special herbs vol.2 straight from the c.d.j what a live set.lol and doom was super short it was super obvious it was an imposter. then the crowd was light weight booin cause they was'nt quite sure if it was there cult leader.lmao then the more the show went on then they realized it was a fake and started booin heavy. i thought a riot was gonna start for sec. i was jokin sayin operation april fool's day ,and heads looks at me pissed off.lmao me and ras g was gettin a kick out of that shit.it crazy cause most them heads worship doom and should know his reputuation of not appearin ,and risk payin 15 to 20 bucks for a show.
well its kinda sad cause i like doom's music as well, but it seems like all these cats heads be puttin on a higher plateau be gettin over ,and they can get away with it.

well im a hard dick rider cause most rappers cant even touch his flow. you give credit when credit is due and doom is much respected. the fake appearance thing is kinda gay, and his last album was the worst. but you cant forget that he makes beats like a maniac and alot of em are nice and his flow is unique as hell. he's not overrated, thats a word most people use too freely when a rapper is given the credit he deserves. that dude was livin on the streets, writin rhymes on benches and all that and still ended up being a very hot "underground" rapper. most people glamorize aesop rock who i totally dont understand what-so-ever. im from the old school where i like to understand what someone is rapping about so the whole def jux team is over my head, fuck synthesizers for real. all downhill since Co Flow and Mr. Len. but doom is rated accordingly. when he's gets on a track, its like "fuck what everyone else is saying, i cant wait till his part. operation doomsday, greatest, dangerdoom, creative, madvillian, nuff said. he even put a whole album out about food. come on. i guess people tend to dislike people who have people riding on their dick. i do that sometimes. but in all honesty he's hot and dickriders will be dickriders.
p.s.- liquid swords was dope but beneath the surface wasnt, actually no other gza album is hot, just a few songs. but doom has a nice discography if i do say so myself. king geedorah was kinda gay tho, but victor vaughn made up for it.

dont get me wrong, i listened to king geedorah as much as the next man but i wasnt really feeling the other guys on the album. i was just waitin for him to pop up. and i thought it had too many sampled dialogues on that album. but it was another doom alter ego which i love. saying it was one of the dopest albums ever, thats definitly a matter of opinion. i think pete rock soul survivor stands through the test of time and operation doomsday will still be knocking in the 3000's. alot of people who like doom dont even know about his first album, they hoped on his ship after madvillian, tho operation doomsday is his most genuine album out of them all. madvillian is the closest to it. when doom is just rhyming and saying the craziest shit over unique and creative beats, thats when he's at his best. he's my fav rapper( hold up, rapper is a disrespectful word now-a-days) lets say my favorite mc.

imposters at shows = that's fucking sly, if I saw (the real) him, I'd shake his hand, rob his money (cos its the fans' money) then go spend the money on one of his albums to support him..?

I personally think his flows pretty wack, but his lyrics are just on another level, it's like beautiful bullshit. also he makes a nice beat.

PS Gas Drawls is my favourite too.
