metronome in sync with quantization???

Post by springwater »

is it just me or is the metronome out of sync with the 555's quantization. ive been trying to program some drumloops and i notice that my quantization is not exactly on beat or the metronome is off. its weird. so i went and tried to produce some drumloops in fruityloops and cubase using my 555 and a midi controller and the quantization in those programs are exact. but when i do it on the 555 it feels a little off. this is just another one of those "am i just really high or is it the machine" questions. this is like the second one of those i posted. but beatmaking without herb is like a car without wheels, you kno, it aint going nowhere!

i kinda noticed the same thing going from my ESX to my 404... it almost seemed like the BPMs were different but i pushed that away and kinda forgot about it... maybe its what you mentioned... it just sounds different... (the esx has adjustable swing but i set it a long time ago and never mess with it soo i donno)

it kinda pissed me off a little so ive just been banging loops out on the loop capture and rockin it like that. i wish the metronome was the mpc sound and not the annoying click anyways.
