Busted lights?

I just bought a 404sx (first sampler purchase ever in fact) and right out of the box the 9 pad LED seems to be busted. It's really dim but you can sort of see it. In a well lit room you cant really make it out very well. I know the obvious answer is to return it but since I just waited over a week for it to ship to me, im not looking forward to sending it away for who knows how long. Anybody else had to deal with this? Thanks.

eghhheh i donno man if the light is weird the pad may be weird.... youll have it forever it might be harder to deal with a warranty later than an exchange now... in the long run its a short week
