dont they make a stand specifically for the mv? or am i trippin?

As far as I know Roland never made a stand for MV specifically, but you can easily find third party MPC stands and if it fits why not use those.

oh cool. i wasnt aware who made what i just saw one that looked like it was mounted to a stand on you tube or something.

The Quiklok QL 400 mixer stand is one that fits properly:

Roland did use a very similar stand for promotional purposes, but never made that an official commercial stand.

I'm not using a stand at the moment, but there's also a low-budget stand you can build yourself:
