I don't know about good digging areas there, but you should hit up Turntable Lab. It's a great store.

more of a store than a "spot" so to speak but you got to check out Amoeba records while in CA its fucking huge and they have really new vinyl and a big used section

"record surplus" Right off the 10 freeway somewhere near santa monica. they have a dope ass dollar section. haven't been there for a year but they had a whole second floor dedicated to cheap records(in good condition). don't miss it!
