i dont mind mono. but when i sample, say there is a drum on the left... i pan the mixer to the left and grab just the drums. can't do that with this. i have another tape module that ONLY outputs the left channel, not even true mono, a real pain in the ass. mono is nice occasionally as a mix down, but when a piece of equipment takes a stereo track and sends out a mono it frustrates me. especially when this piece does so much other stuff :x

U sure it's not actually a 'stereo' 'fat headphone jack' type output ? Back in the dayo there was this kid's toy Teddy Ruxphin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teddy_Ruxpin and you put Teddy tapes in and his mouth would yap to the story, but if you put in a 'real' non-Teddy tape it would play it backwards! That's how I was able to hear Flavor Flav's rant from "Megablast" forward on my PE tape- uhh.. you pretty much got to grab weird cassette playback devices if you see them for cheap on the used market.

whoa thats a weird piece of equipment. well im not giving this thing credit. i realized that i have one jack for headphones, but for the aux out there are two jacks... but i dont have a cable for this. so i need two mono 1/8" --> rca's for the 404 input... experimentation the key

'To whomever it may concern these units are given out for free to the blind and the Physically Handicap, I purchased legally from an antique store as a collectors item since it's Vintage and out of Date. I am in no way trying to sell it to someone who may need it but it's optional if they wish to purchase it from me they do so as a collectors item. If you know someone in need of this machine and or you are in need of it yourself you may contact your local Library of Congress for more uptodate and advanced unit.'
