there are like 4 different ways to change the pitch using effects and thats why im confused. subsonic, djfx looper, pitch and the other one.
so if im correct, none of that.

Yes and you can use those FX. To be honest, I'm not quite sure why pitching used to be a no-go.

ormo wrote:the only thing I would suggest about rules is that if of can be done within your sp then it should be fair game.

like rock the pitch effect but don't sample it to your mpc5000 and pitch it there :|

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking when it comes to pitching.

Its supposed to be done on your SP.

I haven't joined in a true SP-only battle for a long time, but I thought pitching itself within the SP used to be allowed?

To put an end to the confusion, the official rule to the pitch thing, is this:

The exception to this is if any of the SPs have a useable time stretch feature that is disallowed to be fair to the ones that don't have it.

This means no time stretching allowed!!!

Pitching using the FX is fine.

Thanks homie!.. It was really tough for me to get a decent melody going as the sample is hella repetitive... But I'm sure all the talented ppl here will overcome that for sure... Shoot.. some cats on here can prolly make fire out of a 5 second sample of a door slamming shut lol
