Yo megamaeng, your set up is sick. How is the 404SX? and how much did you get the 1200 for? I only dream of having one.

I really like the 404sx. I kinda miss the 404 for certain things but stringing it w the 303 takes care of some of that like buttons for pitch and the old vinyl sim. but for live I actually like having the dj looper there, I use that way too often :) I really love being able to hot swap the sd card between the 404 and the computer.

I spent way too much on the sp1200 but less than normal going price. I dream of making a diy sampler with a similar workflow. I guess the justification is that I can always sell it for the same price.

I'm messin' with Record right now. I can't get any audio recorded into it, what's up? Everything out of my SP is recording fine into Audacity but why not Propellerhead Record?

I dunno if you are on pc or mac but if you're on a mac you need to select your audio interface in Record's preferences. If you are using the built in audio of your mac, you have to go to audio/midi setup and create an aggregate device combining the built in input and built in output, name the aggregate device and then select it in record.

haha, yeah the sp1200 is really big but the MS10 is about perfect size. The MS20 is much bigger, but it's pretty much double the synth. Still monophonic but the ms20 has an extra oscillator and filter. I'm really happy with the MS10 though, just the right amount of knobs for me to still feel like I know what I'm doing on it!

p.s. I'm working on an ep right now with my man Turtle Handz. I hope he doesn't mind me sharing a teaser w you guys. This was actually the first beat I made with the current setup and Record. as you can tell still a work in progress...
