yes. i appreciate.
i like his works with material and praxis too (expecially the one with john zorn, titled "sacrifist").
have you listen to the anthology from wordsound record called "crooklyn dub consortium: certified dop vol1"? great ill experimental dub from the middle of the '90 with bill laswell + other (ill) dub heads...http://www.wordsound.com/catalog/WSCD003.html

for "producers" in the same vein as me *coughcough*

photek: i just really love everything about modus operandi. he had some great tracks afterwards but the majority of them couldn't live up to that masterpiece.

venetian snares: a lot of people in the breakcore "scene" lambast newcomers for loving venetian snares. there is a reason people love this guy. he has taken a chaotic genre like breakcore and created some beautiful and intelligent music. a lot of the music in that genre is tongue-in-cheek and not too serious, and some of snares stuff is like that too, but when he wants to he can really turn it on. winter in a belly of a snake and Rossz csillag alatt született are classic albums.

luke vibert: probably my favourite "idm" artist. i just love the funkiness in everything he does.

plastikman: richie hawtin's early work as plastikman is brilliant. there is a reason all those annoying hipster bastards kneel at his feet.

jeff mills: really has done some cool projects with "experimental" type techno albums. love his minimal work.

robert hood: internal empire and minimal nation are absolute minimal techno classics.

dj premier: has created some of the greatest hip-hop beats ever. still bangs out classics. a living legend. nuff said.

pete rock: see above.

j dilla: a lot of people jock him nowadays but there is a reason for that. he is dopesauce.

madlib: the kid has got loops for days and days and days. really knows and loves music.

el-p: funcrusher plus, the cold vein and fantastic damage. 3 brilliantly produced hip-hop masterpieces. funcrusher plus is the epitome of that dirty futuristic style.

source direct: probably my favourite producers ever. of all their tracks i think they only have around 2 or 3 that aren't straight out fire. and they were tracks done at the end of their career.

honourable mentions: dan the automator, flying lotus, mf doom, burial, current value, shitmat, enduser.
