just got my pedal switch, working????

Post by springwater »

the pedal switch aint all that its cracked up to be. i got a bunch of drums sampled and im banging on em using the pedal to catch some loops in the loop captue and im always late, like milliseconds late. and im pretty good with timing and catching loops. its like sometimes i get it and sometimes i dont. now im starting to ask myself why the hell did i even buy the thing. its was only like 16 bucks on amazon but still. i have better luck pressing the record button than using the pedal. how i do it is i get a nice loop going all live and everything then i hit the pedal at the right monent and i get chopped off. when i do the same thing one handed and use my other hand to press record on the loop capture, its right on the money.
anyone experiencing any delays with a pedal switch so i know its not just me?

ive never had a problem with it...

if you already have the tempo no need to punch out!

if you dont have the tempo then you use the pedal to start it

then just use measure mode from there on out

trust it will work

measure mode is your friend

been practicing long or did you just play with it for a day after you bought it?

getting things right takes time .. stick with it if you haven't been at it for a few months.
Samples.

yeah measure mode is the man!!!
i usually record a blank loop, like id set the tempo and record a 2 or 4 mbar blank loop, then after it records you know the dam metronome turns off(which i hate) so i turn it back on and its still in sync with the bars (4 little lights) then i get busy and overdub like a maniac. i started doing that cause if i recorded pads n "ish" it would clip when it stopped recording. but now i can do a sort of cycle overdub. with drums it doesnt matter but some pads have alot of decay and i need them in the loop and not clipping.

and i totally just got my pedal switch in the mail like today so i will be trying it a bunch, i just didnt think my finger was as fast as my footstep, i can walk fast as hell but my fingers cant pick my nose at the speed of light but they dam sure can press that record button on point,
go figure.
thanks guys
