Man am I glad I found this place. I was searching for info on the boss sp-505, and found this forum. lots of great information and users here, I've already learned alot about the sp samplers. good stuff.

Welcome! I've got an SP-505, too. It's spiffy. The folks around here march to the beat of a different drum machine.

sp's suck though. what you need is a mpc4k and a triton...

I used to have a 505. Its a great machine.. but I must say I enjoy the 404 alot more. The one thing I really miss about the 505 is that fantastic pitch bank ! It actually does a pitch shift...so you dont lose your tempo and it doesnt sound like garbage..lol I almost want to buy another one just for that
