I'm getting ready to pick up a couple of memory cards. What brands come highly recommended? Is speed an issue?
Currently I have a Lexar 256mb card, which runs a 40x speed. It's worked just fine for me.
Any thoughts?
Kingston memory cards any good?

Re: Kingston memory cards any good?
The speed isn't an issue because the card reader of 606 is really slow and it would not benefit the cf hight speed.however i use a usb card reader for transferring the data and maybe in that case you can see much difference...
don't bother the brand, kongstone, sandisks, lexar are all nice cards...if you find a 512mb,pick it up!

I believe the 606 is far more tolerant than, say, the 404 when it comes to cards. I got a really sh*tty Memory Corp 24x one and it works fine, I don't think you can go wrong with 512MB cards (and below) as they are usually at least as old as the 606 itself.
