part you hate most about beat making?

It just pisses me off sometimes cause I get great ideas when I'm drifting away. It's the point where my body is shutting down and my head is free of all other things. It's cool though. One day I will be able to hook a sampler to my head and ideas will be musically written for me in the morning ready for me to lay the rest down. HAHA ... im dreaming already.

hahahaha...... cords & cables stay forever tangled. I gave up on trying to organize em awhile ago.

One is when I'm listening to a record I find the most perfect sample, just a little snippet. I rewind to find it, then the needle skips & I loose that spot. I try to find it again, then get mad cause i lost it.

The other is when I'm just about finished & for some reason I loose power.

is going onto youtube and watching vid after vid of artificial mpc beats. just some dudes auto chopping and banging on the pads in order calling it hip hop. i cant stand that shit!!!!!
if i were to watch one of those vids and untangling cords at the same time, id go berzerk!!!!!
its like a million mpc vids like this.

yea that shit sucks
i got to drive 40 minutes to jam with my bud and even then hes just likes noisy stuff and the recording of the jam is just a bricked wave of white noise hahaha
still though its worth turning on your friends to sampling, i got that same friend into the 555 and hes now making more coherent stuff and loves it.

if not you could always put up a flyer at your school? and if you are at college theres loads of beat makers around, just by nature no one will be calling attention to it because it stays in their bedroom...

haha yea most of the MPC vids are so bland they make me want to scream. probably cause auto-chop allows alot of the same shit to be done again and again and again. its like robotic:
"SAMPLE AUTOCHOP BOOM BAP. SAMPLE AUTOCHOP BOOM BAP"

ive seen like 3 good MPC vids and one of them was JEL

yeah i was just watching some DAMU about an hour ago, he was making beats live in washing square park. the whole time im like where did he plug in. but his beats is hot.
