wht type of equipment would be essential to get to start releasing my beats on the sp onto a cd without using a laptop though

Which SP do you got? If you don't have a computer at all you will definitely need a multi-track recorder with ideally a CD burner in most cases, like for example a Tascam DP 02. Comes highly recommended, but don't forget a cheap laptop might cost you the same amount of money if you decide to buy one new.

My set up is like this:
606 into the DP-01 and into the cd recorder.
Of course you can connect the 606 directly into the cd recorder but a nice multitrack recorder can work out the levels in post-production to give your beats more clarity and polish. Ever heard a beat and wished the producer brought out the guitar riff more out? Thats the advantage.
