Batch convert .wav on OSX? (this is for the Mac heads)

I got a quick question. I found some old loop packs that were on some old discs. Some of the .wav files are not 16bit and won't play nicely with a lot of my gear. What I want to do is throw all the files into a batch coverter and make them all the same type of file. What program can easily do this for me? Free would be best, but if something works better let me know.
